Twebcast user terms and conditions
In these terms Twebcast AB, org. no. 556819-2917, is referred to as “Twebcast”.
These terms and conditions (the “Terms”) applies to you as a registered user (“User”) on our platform.
Twebcast provides a web-based platform for attending and producing digital events.
The Terms applies to all Users of our platform, but there are special terms for you depending on what type of user you are.
Account and registration To register for a Twebcast account you need to provide your e-mail address. Once you have registered for a Twebcast account you may choose to add your telephone number. A Twebcast account is personal and may not be transferred to another person without express prior written consent of Twebcast. A Twebcast user account is free of charge.
Twebcast reserves the right to refuse registration of, or to cancel, a Twebcast account at its sole discretion. You will be responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account. Violation of any of the foregoing may result in immediate termination of your account, revocation of your ability to use the platform and its services, and may be subject to legal consequences for you. Twebcast reserves the right, but will have no obligation, to investigate your use of the platform in order to determine whether a violation of these Terms has occurred.
Unified account. Your Twebcast user account is the basis for all activities you carry out within the Twebcast platform. You can choose to attend any number of events, registered as well as anonymous. If you attempt to register for an event in the Twebcast platform by providing the email address used for this user account and you are not already verified on that device, you will have to verify your account in order to complete the registration.
The features of the Twebcast account are also partly determined by what type of user you are, as well as underlying agreements between Twebcast and an organization to which your Twebcast account may be connected to. This may affect the volume of usage of the platform as well as access to features of the platform.
Warranties and restrictions.
By registering for a Twebcast user account you represent and warrant to Twebcast that:
- you are at least 18 years old (or, if you are not at least 18 years old, you have your legal guardian’s permission to use platform);
- all registration information you submit is accurate and truthful and you will keep it up to date and accurate; and
you will keep passwords and any other information provided by you for accessing the platform confidential. You shall immediately inform Twebcast if an unauthorized person has gained access to your user account.
When using the services of the Twebcast platform you represent and warrant that you will not use (or encourage anyone else to use) the platform and its services in a manner that:
- infringes or violates the intellectual property rights or proprietary rights, rights of publicity or privacy, or other rights of any other third party;
- violates any applicable law, statute, or regulation;
- is harmful, fraudulent, threatening, abusive, harassing, tortuous, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, libelous, or otherwise objectionable as reasonably determined by Twebcast;
- attempts, in any manner, to obtain the password, account, or other security information from any other user;
- violates the security of any computer network, or cracks any passwords or security encryption codes;
- decompiles, reverse engineers, or otherwise attempts to obtain the source code or underlying ideas or information of or relating to the platform and its services;
- overall is in accordance with these Terms and instructions provided by Twebcast.
You are also responsible for obtaining and maintaining any equipment or software to use the platform and you will be responsible for ensuring that such equipment or software are compatible with the platform.
User data
When using the platform, you may upload, post, or otherwise provide personal data, using, or in connection with, the platform (“User Data”). The User Data is, together with other information, used as a base to provide you with the services and may be freely used by you.
You remain solely responsible for all data that you upload, post, or otherwise provide using, or in connection with, the platform, and you warrant that you possess all rights necessary to provide such data to the platform.
Please note that removal of your user account will remove all User data connected to your account, excluding events that you have produced and own in the capacity as a producer. Such User data will never be possible to get back.
Twebcast accepts no responsibility for the User Data or loss of User Data, and it is your responsibility to create backups of the User Data. The User Data may include personal data, for which Twebcast is responsible for as processor according to the conditions below in section “Personal data and data controller” and Twebcasts Privacy Policy.
Indemnification
You will keep Twebcast, its parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, and employees harmless (including, without limitation, from all damages, liabilities, settlements, costs and attorneys' fees) from any claim or demand made by any third party due to or arising out of your access to or use of the platform and its services, your violation of these terms and conditions, or the infringement by you or any third party using your account of any intellectual property or other right of any person or entity.
Limitation of liability
Twebcast shall only be held liable for direct damages relating to a breach of these Terms in cases of intentional breach or breach by gross negligence and shall under no circumstances be held liable for indirect or consequential damages.
If a claim is directed towards Twebcast from a third party as a result of your use of the platform and its services, you shall indemnify Twebcast for all damages suffered by Twebcast (including reasonable attorney fees).
Termination
Your Twebcast account is valid until further notice or until you or Twebcast cancel it. You can terminate your account at any time by contacting customer support, support@twebcast.com. Upon termination of account, all User Data including personal data collected and processed to comply with these Terms will be deleted.
Twebcast reserves the right, at its own discretion, to remove any User data from the platform at any time, for any reason.
Ownership and property rights
All intellectual property rights and other rights related to the Twebcast platform, and its services are Twebcast’s property, and no ownership of intellectual property rights is transferred through these Terms. Nothing in these Terms shall constitute a transfer of any intellectual property rights or other similar rights to you, other than to use the platform and its services as expressly stated in these terms and conditions.
Third-Party Services
The platform and its services may contain links to third party websites, products or services that are not owned or controlled by Twebcast ("Third- Party Services"). When you access Third Party Services, you do so at your own risk.
Twebcast has no control over, and assumes no responsibility for, the content, accuracy, privacy policies, or practices of or opinions expressed in any Third- Party Services. By using the Twebcast platform you expressly relieve and hold Twebcast harmless from any and all liability arising from your use of any Third-Party Services.
Attending events When you choose to register for an event, the event will temporarily get a copy of the personal data you register with. This data will automatically be removed from the event at a date specified in the event terms & conditions. Your personal data may however be stored for a longer period by the party hosting the event. For more information you should always read the specific event terms.
The anonymous events you attend won’t get access to any of your personal data from your user account, even if you are logged in to your user account while attending an anonymous event.
Any data you submit to events, outside of the registration, is your own responsibility in terms of the contents (images and texts) with regards to any personal data you choose to add as well as any legal restrictions that may apply. Twebcast may never be held responsible for such data, nor will we be able to ensure anonymization shared outside of the registration form.
If you choose to register for an event and accept that event’s terms and conditions, the event will be able to send event related information to you via email and any other messaging services you choose to enable, for the provided retention period mentioned in the separate event terms.
Personal data and data controller
Twebcast AB, a Swedish company registered with the Swedish Companies Registration Office, with organization number 556819-2917, which is based in Stockholm, are responsible for providing the Twebcast platform. Twebcast AB are responsible for the data you provide to your Twebcast account as well as any other data you provide to Twebcast outside of an event you register for as a participant.
By signing up for a Twebcast user account as well as attending Twebcast events with registration, your personal information will be processed. Your personal data in your Twebcast account is owned by and accessible only for you unless you specifically grant an event organizer access to personal data you choose to share as part of registering for an event. An event organizer will never be able to access such data without first requesting data access in a separate agreement.
Twebcast has the right to analyze data provided by a user with the purpose of making the Twebcast platform more secure, user friendly, performant and reliable. Twebcast will take every possible step to ensure that the data is treated anonymously and that no personal details will be used or shared with a third party or made publicly available.

User Communication
Twebcast has the right to communicate with its users concerning important platform information as well as event information.
If you want to receive communication such as newsletters, product updates, offers or other information related to the platform and its services sign up here (twebcast.com). Users may opt out of receiving these emails from Twebcast at any time.
Please note that although you may opt out of receiving certain emails, Twebcast reserves the right to communicate with you via email regarding specific products and services you have ordered, requested, or inquired about.
Updated Terms
Twebcast may update these Terms at any time, but we will either notify you by posting a notice on the platform or by email or by some other means. If you don't accept the new Terms you will no longer be able to use the platform as your Twebcast account will be de-activated. Your use of the platform in any way following notification by Twebcast constitutes your acceptance of Terms in their modified form.
Governing law and forum
The Terms shall be exclusively governed by and construed in accordance with the substantive laws of Sweden.
Any dispute, controversy or claim arising out of or in connection with these terms or the breach, termination or invalidity thereof, shall be settled by the District Court of Stockholm as the first instance.
