Static and Dynamic Segments

We are now launching static and dynamic segments.

You can create different types of segment lists that can be reused throughout your project. There are two different types of segments you can create: static and dynamic segments, depending on how you want to populate the segment with participants.

‍

Static Segments

‍Static segments are lists of manually added participants. You can create your static segments by moving or importing participants to the segment manually. Static segments are useful when there is a natural segmentation among your participants. For example, if you have two email lists from two different departments in an organization, you would create a static segment for each department. Participants belonging to a static segment will remain in the same specific segment as long as you do not manually remove them.

‍

Dynamic Segments

‍Dynamic segments are filled with participants based on conditions. For example, imagine that you receive a value if you have performed a specific task, and after completing that task, you will belong to a dynamic segment such as "All who performed the quiz". Our powerful function allows you to reuse the segment globally within the project. So, if you update the criteria for a dynamic segment, it will be updated in all places at the same time. This works the same way as a module used in multiple locations that is also updated everywhere if you change the content within it.
